MOTORCYCLE

is an introductory course intended for a new rider with little or no experience (although some veteran riders have found that they learned more than expected). Motorcycles are provided for on-cycle training. Pre-approved participants are welcome to use their own street legal motorcycle/scooters (250cc or under) during the course. Graduates passing a written test and riding evaluation receive a NY DMV road test waiver .

VIEW BASIC RIDER COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

The Basic RiderCourse2-LW (BRC2 LW)

Is intended for riders with a minimum of 1 year and 1000 miles riding experience. Students use their own street legal motorcycle/scooter. Graduates completing an on-line module and a riding evaluation receive a NY DMV road test waiver .

Experienced RiderCourse (BRC2)

Is intended for licensed riders with a minimum of 1 year and 1000 miles riding experience. Students use their own street legal motorcycle/scooter.

These courses were developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. They address issues raised from studying motorcycle crashes and identifying skills absent in the operators of the motorcycles. Safety is the key factor. Find out more about the study in the Hurt Report (pdf 40 kb).

Private closed course lessons. NOT and alternative to the DMV road-test

After The Cones On Road Lessons are for all riders new or experenced.
